Editing a Product

Editing a Product

Update the details of an existing product.

Last updated: Jul 17, 2026

You can edit any active product directly from the product list. Deleted products cannot be edited until they are restored. See Deleting and Restoring a Product.

You'll need permission to edit products. If you don't see an Edit... option on a product, ask your organization's administrator to grant you access.

1. Go to Manage Products

Click Manage Products in the left sidebar to open your price list.

2. Find the product

Use the column filters (Part Number, Model, List Price, MSRP) to search for the product you want to update, or sort a column to locate it faster.

3. Open the actions menu

Click the (three-dot) icon at the end of the product's row.

4. Click Edit...

Select Edit... from the menu. The Edit Product Details window opens, already filled in with the product's current values.

5. Update the fields you need

You don't have to fill in every field again — only change what needs updating. Here's what each field controls:

FieldDescription
Part NumberThe product's unique identifier. Changing this updates references on existing request details automatically.
DescriptionFree-text description of the product.
Model / CategoryThe category this product belongs to. Changing the category will reload the List Price from the new category's base price.
List PriceRead-only. Updates automatically if the category is changed.
MSRPManufacturer's Suggested Retail Price.
MOQMinimum Order Quantity.
Tariff Surcharge (%)Additional percentage surcharge for tariffs.
Allow TariffToggle to allow tariffs to affect pricing. Visible only to users with an approval level assigned.

Saving changes

Click Update Details to save. The edit product window closes and the product list refreshes with the updated values.

When a Part Number is changed, existing request detail records that reference the old Part Number are updated automatically to the new value.

If the product's list price changed (for example, because you switched its category), any existing request that already has this product added as a line item will automatically show the refreshed price.
