Deleting and Restoring a Product

Deleting and Restoring a Product

Delete, restore, or permanently remove a product from the list.

Last updated: Jul 17, 2026

Deleting a product doesn't get rid of it right away. It just hides it from your active list, so you can safely bring it back later if you change your mind. This tutorial walks you through deleting, restoring, and — if you're sure — getting rid of a product for good.

Before you start

You'll need permission to delete products. If you don't see a Delete option, ask your organization's administrator to grant you access.

Deleting a product

1. Go to Manage Products

Click Manage Products in the left sidebar to open your product list.

2. Find the product

Look through the list, or use the search boxes at the top of the columns to find the product you want to remove.

3. Open the actions menu

Click the (three dots) at the end of the product's row.

4. Click Delete

Select Delete from the menu.

5. Confirm

You'll be asked to confirm. Click through to finish.

The product will now appear greyed out in the list. It's no longer available to pick when someone is building a new request, but it hasn't been thrown away — you can still bring it back.

Restoring a product

1. Find the greyed-out product

Look for the product you just deleted — it will be sitting in the list in grey.

2. Click Restore

Click the Restore button on that row.

The product turns active again right away, and it's available to use on new requests just like before.

Getting rid of a product for good

This step is different from a regular delete — once you do this, there's no bringing it back. Only do this if you're sure.

1. Find the greyed-out product

The product has to already be deleted (greyed out) before you can get rid of it for good — you can't do this to a product that's still active.

2. Open the small arrow next to Restore

Next to the Restore button, click the small arrow to open a menu.

3. Click Delete permanently...

Select this option from the menu.

4. Confirm

You'll be asked to confirm one more time, since this can't be undone. Click through to finish, and the product will disappear from the list completely.
